A fruitful and successful symposium in 2021 shows a strong bound between the Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyoto Univerisity (GSAKU) and the College of Bioresources and Agriculture, Natinal Taiwan University (CBA-NTU)

The Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyoto Univerisity invited 14 teachers and students from the Department of Agricultural Economics and the Department of Bio-Industry Communication and Development to attend the meeting. Among them, four lecturers and four student lecturers gave their talks.
The first day of the seminar, all the speeches were given by faculty members of the two institutions. The welcome remarks in the opening ceremony on the first day was addressed by Vice Dean Motoki Akitsu from GSAKU, then later followed by Dean Lur, Huu-Sheng of CBA, who delivered greeting remarks. Both institutions deeply expressed the close partnership that was established since 2012, and later different kinds of successful collaboration have also been made. The symposium commenses right after the quick short group photo.
On the morning of the second day, students were the main roles where they also bear the responsibility to be the speakers and moderators. Even it is a virtual meeting, students were not shy at all and well manage the timing of all the speeches in each session, making the meeting run smoothly.
Since 2012, the College of Bioresources and Agriculture (CBA), National Taiwan University has maintained a long and close partnership with the Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyoto University. Bilateral seminars, teacher visitings, exchange student programs, and even the establishment of overseas offices, and the expansion of the master's dual degree program that was implemented in recent years, have demonstrated the fruitful outcomes of the in-depth academic exchanges among the two institutions. The next bilateral symposium in 2022 will be hosted by our college. CBA expects that the epidemic will much eased and by then, hopefully, teachers and students from both institutions will be able to meet each other in person, exchanging their ideas as before, and then deepen and develop more cooperation.
